Dr. Schierholz is a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. He began practicing in the Twin Cities area after graduating in the spring of 2005. Dr. Schierholz managed clinics in New Hope and Rogers, Minnesota before moving back to Iowa in the fall of 2007 to practice in Cherokee, Iowa. In September 2009, Dr. Schierholz opened Schierholz Chiropractic & Acupuncture in Hartley.
Dr. Schierholz is licensed in Iowa and certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In addition, Dr. Schierholz is board certified in Radiology, Physiotherapy, and Acupuncture. His professional associations include the Iowa Chiropractic Society and NWHSU Alumni Association.
Dr. Shierholz utilizes several techniques to develop a treatment protocol that will work best for each patient. He utilizes manual and instrument adjusting techniques including: Diversified, Thompson, CBP, and Impulse adjusting. He provides care for acute injuries, but strives to educate patients on the benefits of wellness care to allow them to live their lives to their potential. Dr. Schierholz is a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS (including Hawk-I), and most other third party payers. Dr. Schierholz is happily married to his wife Erica, and is the father of two busy boys, Adam and Isaac, and beautiful daughter Eryn.
